In developing our plan as with any strategic plan, you must ask; What guides the plan?

We are given an excellent foundation in the mission statement, and goals of AALNC.

Our plan incorporated the mission of AALNC:

The American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants promotes the professional advancement of registered nurses consulting within the legal arena by providing a forum for education and exchange of information.

As with any process involving nursing, we must assess for strengths and weaknesses of the organization.  SWOT analysis is the   evaluation of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to the organization.
